OUR STORY

Quality Haulers was founded in 1986 by Ray Brown. We got our beginning by working in the vermiculite mines of South Carolina, hauling raw ore to local expander plants. We expanded our offerings to sand and gravel shortly after. As our business and fleet grew, we eventually acquired our own sand mine in 2008 that is located in Blair, SC. This allows us to provide many markets with the highest quality of screened river sand.

After 28 years at the helm, Ray Brown handed the reigns over to his son Jeff Brown who had worked at the company for many years running the maintenance shop. Quality continued its growth and moved to a new facility in Woodruff, SC during April 2021. In August of 2023, Jeff Brown retired and sold the business to an ownership group of Ray Brown, John Montgomery, and Hunter Brown. Under new leadership, we are making strides to become the leading bulk trucking provider in South Carolina.
